Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing HRBP support to the manufacturing and quality operations. They will be a trusted partner and advisor to the Production Management Team and shall serve as the expert on people and organizational related issues, as well as a coach cum catalyst in proposing and delivering HR expertise and solutions to meet the operational needs. This role will also require the incumbent to be comfortable in handling strategic issues and yet able to handle tactical work at times, navigate and think through on challenges/issues faced while evaluating the long term and short term impact on organization and department he/she is supporting. Driving and being involved in organizational changes and continuous improvements in manufacturing operations and HR while bringing the respective departments to the next level of expected performance will also be a key part of this role.
This role is based in Singapore plant and the role incumbent is expected to work closely with internal counterparts for successful planning and delivery of HR programs, solutions and services to the organization.
• Provide HR business partnering support and leadership to the manufacturing and quality operations. This includes questioning the status quo, guiding client group(s) through scale-up efforts, organizational changes and driving the organization to the next level of performance which will include recommending, influencing and driving both the strategic and functional changes.
• Drive talent management/development, performance management and succession planning. Develop solutions and programs to bridge current competencies and abilities gaps to future needs, recommending appropriate interventions. Ability to coach and develop all levels of management through performance feedback and effective management processes.
• Work closely with the leadership team in operations in driving organizational development and redesign, as well as workforce effectiveness and optimization.
• Responsible for the co-ownership in driving employee engagement and open communications with employees in the assigned client group. This will also include conducting the pulse sessions and understanding the current employee climate as well as driving the necessary agreed employee engagement solutions.
• Partner with the management team in client group in managing the employee relations cases with an aim to closure while at the same time ensuring adherence to company’s policy as well as local legislation. Proactively assess and diagnose organizational issues in partnership with the management team.
• Work closely as both a liaison and partner to other HR stakeholders locally and globally in order to develop and deliver integrated and effective solutions that support the business generally.
• Other ad hoc initiatives and projects may be assigned.
Requirements:
• At least 6 of years applicable HR leadership experience is required with related experience
• Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of Singaporean labor law
• Possesses a proven ability to be hands-on and able to handle tactical issues while still maintaining a strategic mindset
• Requires strong, demonstrated communication skills and the ability to perform in an environment of ambiguity and change
• Possesses proficient ability to diagnose problems and identify appropriate interventions; Organizational consulting skills, influencing skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast paced environment are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization and build internal and external relationships. Must possess effective analytical skills and conflict resolution skills
• Those with lean manufacturing, project management and/or 6 sigma experience/knowledge will have added advantage.
• Previous experience within an MNC manufacturing environment, operating in a matrix structure preferred.
