JOB DISCRIPTION
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORISATION1. To prepare and submit permit / declarations to Government agencies for relevant shipment and ensure AWBs and permit declarations are processed accurately and promptly.
2. To ensure import or export shipping documents are prepared on time.
3. To ensure shipping documents are prepared in accordance to LC and/or customer’s requirements.
4. To monitor closely for any short landings or offloading of cargoes and to report to the superior immediately for such cases.
5. To follow through, monitor and track shipment arrival and delivery.
6. Attend to operation to ensure cargo is delivered safely and promptly to the designated locations.
7. Liaise and follow up internally and with forwarders/carriers for shipment/delivery status / Singapore Chamber & Commerce.
8. Liaise with external stakeholders and customers to ensure accurate capture and delivery of expectations.
9. Prepare and submit billing advised for completed shipments promptly to billing department.
10. To facilitate in house TRMS system for shipment processing with the correct codes.
11. To ensure all shipments are processed and closed promptly through the TRMS to allow for billing by our Finance.
12. To secure enough space from the airlines and ensure bookings are done promptly. Also to ensure block bookings are done for regular customers.
13. To perform any other job related duties as and when instructed by the superior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS1. Candidates must possess O Level / Diploma in any field;
2. Candidates must possess at least 2 year of working experience in the logistic / 3PL / Supply Chain is required for this position;
3. Proficient with computer function, Microsoft Office, email, warehouse management system and operating scanning equipment;
4. Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize tasks;
5. Ability to work independent with minimum supervision, multi task and work well in a fast-paces environment;
6. Positive customer service skills with an ability to communicate eloquently and effectively;
7. Able to commit for overtime when needed;
8. Able to commence work immediately or within short notice period.
