Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager for Asia-Pacific, the Regional Finance & Administration Manager will oversee the organisation's Singapore and Asia field offices' accounting and finances as well as human resources and administration. The F&A Manager will functionally report to the Finance Director and HR Director, who are both based overseas.
The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance to accounting standards, policies, procedures, payroll, internal controls and the offices' observation of local legal requirements. You will support the budget preparations and forecasting of various projects, as well as co-ordinating audits and managing inventory and procurement.
Other duties will include:
- Reviewing, monitoring and following-up on donor requirements
- Reviewing and approving requests for cash, cheque and transfer payments
- Managing logistics and general administration, including supervising related administrative staff
- Serving as the HR focal point for the Asia region, which includes supervising the administrative management of HR processes, as well as maintaining relationships with colleagues spread geographically within the region and handling relationship issues
- Managing induction programmes as well as coordinating and building capacities of the field offices' staff
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least a bachelor degree in Finance and a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in a finance function and and you will also will have held responsibility for administration and/or human resources before. You will have knowledge of Singaporean labour laws and regulations as well as of the not-for-profit sector and having experience in payroll processing would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to be flexible and service-oriented, with a great attention to detail.
