Chatsworth International School (Bukit Timah Campus)
Established in 1995, Chatsworth is a mid-sized, unique K-12 international school in Singapore. Our two campuses are IB world schools, members of East Asian Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS), Edutrust certified (Singapore’s quality certification scheme) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited. As a three programme IB world school, we offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP, MYP and DP curriculum to students of approximately 50 nationalities, ages 3-18.
Our learning technologies are progressive and grounded in 21st century learning: we are an Apple and Google school with a 1:1 laptop program running from Year 4 upwards. Our school has a friendly, family feel and Chatsworth is known for its strong community spirit.
Orchard Campus
The campus is situated on a heritage street in the grounds of a former colonial mansion right off Orchard Road, in the heart of Singapore. Orchard campus will be converted from the current K-12 school to one for K-6 in 2018. The campus setting may look traditional and historic but we cannot emphasize enough the warmth and friendliness that is inherent amoungst our internationally-minded community.
Bukit Timah Campus
Chatsworth Bukit Timah set to be a K-12 campus is opening in August 2018. Taking over the GESS campus site, there is wide-ranging facilities that will better meet students' learning needs and interests. Located amidst lush greenery and next to Singapore's nature reserve, the campus offers a pleasant and invigorating home away from home environment.

Responsibilities
- Be the guiding force in building and managing a scalable, stable and efficient IT infrastructure for Chatsworth Group of Schools
- Liaise with the Director of Educational Technology (DoET) and the Director of Administration (DoA) to implement new services to support the needs of teachers, staff and students
- Work with the DoET to continuously evaluate school policies and monitor compliance to those policies
- Plan new features and services as requested by DoET, DoA and is required to keep the school IT services functioning optimally
- Gather stakeholder requirements; work with stakeholders to make sure they understand problems and implications of their requests; planning and budgeting of projects. Set reasonable goals and priorities to meet stakeholder requirements
- Manage third-party service providers. Insure their solutions are technically sound and integrate well with existing school systems. Work with DoET and DoA to insure that third party providers are capable of executing on their commitments, that their quotes are reasonable and price competitive for services provided
- Implement monitoring tools to track health of school network and critical network devices and services
- Keep abreast of best practices and work to continuously move Chatsworth towards best-in-class implementation of computer technology
- Ensure that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services ensuring that such problems are fully documented within relevant system(s). Coordinate the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures and analyse patterns and trends.
Requirements
- Technical proficiency is required. This is both a management and hands-on position. Be teacher and mentor for the IT staff, sharing your knowledge and helping your staff expand their technical skills.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping stakeholders informed of project progress and ensuring they provide project deliverables to meet milestones
- Have personal and management skills necessary to keep projects on track.
- Be up-to-date on technology and trends and able to suggest and advise the best solutions for the school’s needs.
- Strong knowledge of
- MacOSX and Windows operating systems
- Windows server features. Eg: Active Directory, DNS..
- OSX Server
- AD/OD integration
- Automated deployment and management of Mac systems
- AppleScript, Bash and PowerShell scripting
- Firewalls
- IT Best Practices, ITIL
Terms: Full time position
Normal working hours from 8.30am to 5pm (Monday to Friday)
