Bridging the gap between candidates and hirers amidst an evolving job market
jobsDB Singapore celebrates a milestone for winning the Gold Award for Best Recruitment Website in the recently concluded HR Vendors of the Year Awards 2015 (HR VOTY), presented by Human Resources magazine. The HR VOTY Awards is one of Asia’s most established regional award programmes that aims to celebrate the best providers of HR products and services.
‘The judging process proved to be challenging this year, and the winners of every category showcased to our jury that they are determined to bring the HR standards to greater heights in Asia,’ said Justin Randles, Group Publisher of Human Resources.
He added, ‘The number of companies that submitted entries this year far exceeded that of previous years. jobsDB in particular shone in the Best Recruitment Website category. That, along with the fantastic turn out of the HR industry on the awards night, suggests that the HR Vendors of the Year Awards will continue to grow in Asia.’
The Best Recruitment Website award recognises valuable contribution to recruitment in the aspects of candidate matching, design, user experience and value added services that streamline hiring process and promote efficiency despite market challenges.
These are the same factors that drive jobsDB Singapore to provide its customers with the best services to make their job hunting and candidate search the most pleasant experience possible. With this in mind, we’ve recently made innovations that aim to improve the job search experience for candidates on the site.
jobsDB’s new Talent Search feature allows hirers to reach more relevant candidates in the database to match their respective role requirements. Its core focus is on increased relevant matches based on candidate “freshness” on account activity, minimum keyword matches in the profile and results ranking by qualification weightage.
Candidates are therefore highly encouraged to update their jobsDB profiles to put themselves at the forefront of our database. Increased visibility means higher chances of getting seen by more employers, bringing them much closer to their career goals. Hirers, in turn, get more relevant and accurate matches through the features’ enhanced selection process.
‘Empowerment through innovation is the key to successfully transcend beyond traditional job posting,’ said Chook Yuh Yng, jobsDB’s Country Manager for Singapore and Malaysia. ‘jobsDB leads the way with a proactive talent search, enriched job advertisements and one powerful platform that allows for better management of postings and candidate applications.’
As the job market today is evolving beyond traditional recruitment, it becomes increasingly challenging to hire talent. jobsDB recognizes that bridging the gap between candidates and hirer is the next logical step to solve this issue. By listening to our customers’ needs and providing the best solutions, we will continue to deliver on our promise to the community to help people find better careers that match hirers’ talent needs.
