The focus of the project is to study on the redox chemistry for lithium-oxygen battery, and develop viable redox systems for aqueous lithium-air batteries. The work involves extensive screening of redox mediators for both oxygen reduction reaction and oxygen evolution reaction, as well as device fabrication and characterization.
Interested candidate should possess a bachelor or master degree in chemistry or materials science. We seek highly motivated candidates who are able to show a proven excellent research record in the relevant field. The successful candidate should demonstrate a track record in the area of redox electrochemistry and their application for redox flow batteries. The candidate is also expected to be highly self-motivated, able to work with others in the group, and able to write progress report.
In particular, we seek a person with the following skills:
- Min. 1 year experience in electrochemistry/redox flow batteries, and familiar with various electrochemical and material characterisation techniques.
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English.
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
