The company is a noted leader within telecommunications and, following considerable investment into its Myanmar business, it looks set to enjoy considerable long-term success within a market that has responded with feverish positivity to the tech boom that has gripped the nation over the last five years. It is now seeking to appoint various key middle- and senior-management personnel across core corporate functions as well as within its commercial sales & marketing teams. There are now numerous critical appointments to be made within the Sales & Marketing division.
Product Manager (Voice) – a role that develops the strategy, roadmap, concept, design, launch and roll-out of mobile voice and SMS services whilst ensuring that the commercial, technical and customer experience frameworks are well-conceived to optimize success and profitability whilst also working closely with the Customer Acquisition team to develop segment-specific promotions and packages (both ATL/BTL). The role will also undertake market research to monitor market trends and the competitive landscape and ensure product development continuously evolves to meet customer needs. Last, but not least, there will be a need to help develop pricing models to meet revenue targets.
Manager, Digital Services (Mobile Apps) – accountable for the delivery and management of the Digital Services portfolio (mobile apps, games, music and similar), with a mission to generate revenue, acquire subscribers whilst meeting required CSR/licence commitments and with end-to-end engagement from sourcing of products to service delivery. The role will involve building partnerships and affiliations with local tech innovators, to cultivate and introduce relevant product/content to meet the needs of a Myanmar audience. There will be a need to manage the portfolio of applications and measure their performance/impact, a corresponding need to create program performance metrics, manage an annual budget and be the pivotal point of contact for all stakeholders. This position will be the Champion for innovation and with high-level engagement with current and potential innovation partners and, consequently, it offers a super opportunity to influence social media direction/content and, necessarily, will become a high-profile position within the company and the broader community.
Director, Customer Acquisition & Devices – this a role to lead a customer acquisition and account servicing team. As such, repatriates with broad exposure to customer acquisition, account development and account management complete with customer care exposure would be ideal. This role is designed to spearhead new business wins whilst ensuring the product mix that is delivered meets the need of the customer.
Customer Acquisition Manager – this position will closely collaborate with the Product Marketing team to ensure that new product launches secure and retain new customers complete with a compelling business case whilst also securing C-level approvals for products and their respective marketing campaigns. The position will monitor and review performance whilst advising product and marketing teams on winning strategies as well as remedial strategies to correct under-performance.
Senior Specialist, Product Performance – an analytical role that tracks and measures performance for all products (Data/Voice/VAS/Roaming) whilst providing accurate revenue forecasts and quarterly revenue analysis (product by product) whilst assessing budget versus actual revenue variance whilst supporting future product and business planning. Key deliverables relate to gathering and reporting accurate subscriber numbers and revenue per user whilst communicating the results to senior management through reports and financial models. This individual should offer 2-5 years’ experience within Analytics or Product Performance within a Telco or MNC IT environment.
Senior Manager, Above-the-line (ATL) Marketing - preferably an experienced repatriate who has held responsibility as a Creative Director within an Advertising Agency and who can undertake a hands-on role to build appropriate campaigns whilst also overseeing a pre-existing Bangkok-based ad agency.
Senior Manager, Digital Communications - a fabulous role for an experienced local/repatriate to manage all social media messaging, where to strategically place ad campaigns, sourcing and utilising social ‘influencers’ whilst also strategizing associated guerrilla marketing campaigns.
Communications Manager - a role to manage internal employee communications and external communications; this role will focus toward written Public Relations messages, written interviews and features articles for, and on behalf of, the senior management team. Must offer a strong command of English and Burmese. Whilst prior Communications experience (with an ability to operate independently and with a certain amount of confidence/swagger) is preferred.
Interested candidates will offer a Degree whilst offering a minimum of at least 3-5 years’ experience within a telecommunications environment and at least 5-10 years of total experience within marketing, sales, product development/management, digital portfolio management and customer acquisition. Any experience managing a team would be highly desirable.
Interested candidates should offer excellent English and Burmese language skills, well-honed interpersonal skills and sound commercial acumen.
