Our client is a leading manufacturing firm with strong presence in Asia & America, they have been massively expanding their business in recent years and involved in a high profile acquisition in recent years. In view of expansion plans in Singapore, my client is searching for Assistant Procurement Manager to establish and lead a team in near future.
The procurement manager will be responsible for developing new supply sources for major raw materials (rubber, chemical) within South East Asia, India & Middle Eastern region.
The incumbent will be expected to streamline supply chain and logistic arrangements to optimize overall cost of raw materials from ex-work to delivery.
Providing market information relative to procurement items such as natural rubber or palm oils
Supporting headquarter to develop global sourcing strategies and action plans to secure long-term raw materials supply under reasonable costs.
Desired Skills and Experience
Possess Bachelors in Business Management, Chemical or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience handling procurement of raw materials
Exposure to Petrochemical/ Rubber sector will be highly advantageous
Good communication skill to interact, engage and manage potential suppliers
