Career planning involves more than just submitting resumes and acing interviews. More importantly, it is about finding the right fit between your personality and your job.
We all have traits and habits that make us unique, and thus more suitable than others for certain jobs. The Personality and Career Talk helped individuals realise the strengths and weaknesses of their personality. This knowledge could empower them to choose a career that matches their traits.
The facilitator, JobsDB Managing Director Steven Seek, spoke to more than 130 participants on the 15th of Sept and used the Drake P3 Personality Test results to achieve the day's goal.
This seminar also provided an opportunity for participants to learn about career opportunities with NTUC. As part of its recruitment drive, NTUC invited guests speakers Mr Steven Goh, an Industrial Relations Officer, and Lee Er Ling, Job Creator, to share with the participants their job experience as well as many success stories from their career training programmes.
Mrs Josephine Teo, Director of NTUC Youth Development Unit and Human Resource Department and Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, was also invited to share with the participants her macroeconomic outlook of the economy, objectives and successes of NTUC as a Trade Union.
