Duration: 3 days, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Venue: SNEF Training Institute
   
  Participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) upon successful completion and assessment of the training course
   
Fees Payable For Workers 40 yrs old and above with 'A'levels & below :
$81.30 (inc. 7% GST)

Others :
$186.30 (inc. 7% GST)

Full fee is $417.30. Amount shown is after SDF Subsidy

Requirements for SDF & SRP Funding
  • Training must be fully sponsored by companies, which are registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident
  • Attain at least 75% attendance
  • Undertake all assessments in the course


  • Company can apply for absentee payroll for participants via www.srp.org.sg before the course starts.

    Workers 40 yrs old and above with ‘A’levels & below
  • 90% of hourly basic salary capped at $10/hour

    Methodology

    The delivery of the course will be highly interactive, with group discussion and table exercises. Participants will also be involved in breakout exercise on case study. The emphasis will be on how to guide employees to observe defined workplace safety and health policies and procedures, and acquire competencies necessary to work safely at the workplace. Final assessment will be conducted at the end of the course.

    Interpret workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes.

    • Know the responsibilities of a general worker, workplace safety and health committee and supervisory personnel
    • Interpret relevant workplace safety and health policies,    workplace safety and health procedures, workplace safety and health programmes and related information

    Educate workers on workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes

    • Explain and provide the work group promptly with accessible information on the organization’s safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
    • Explain to workgroup information on the provision of personal protective equipment in the workplace, of safety devices on the machinery and equipment and on the types of emergencies in the workplace
    • Provide workgroup promptly with accessible information about identified hazards and the outcome of risk assessment, proper use of personal protective equipment in the workplace and about proper use of safety devices on the machinery and equipment
    • Provide information about dealing with emergencies in the workplace

    Implement and control workplace safety and health management programmes

    • Implement procedures for WSH participation and consultation effectively to ensure workers have the opportunity to contribute
    • Make known outcomes of consultation over WSH issues to workers promptly and accurately
    • Execute the organizational emergency response and evacuation exercises Supervise and maintain order in the event of emergency at the workplace
    • Monitor procedures for WSH participation and consultation effectively
    • Monitor change in work practices or procedures at the workplace and communicate to persons who may be at risk.
    • Review and document workplace safety and health management programmes issues resolution

    Implement workplace risk management programmes

    • Identify and report hazards in the workplace in accordance with organizational procedures
    • Implement work procedures for risk assessment and control and for managing emergency situations
    • Participate in the investigation of emergency situations to identify their cause in accordance with organizational procedures
    • Implement control measures to prevent recurrence and minimize risks of emergency situation
    • Facilitate relevant training programs to fulfill identified WSH training needs
    • Maintain WSH management records in accordance with the organizational procedures

    Maintain workplace risk control measures

    • Monitor compliance to work procedures for risk assessment and control by the work group
    • Monitor compliance to emergency preparedness the work group
    • Assess the effectiveness in existing control measures
    • Assess the adequacy of resource allocation for implementation of risk control measures
    • Report the findings to designated personnel according with the organizational procedures
    • Use collective information from WSH records to identify hazards and monitor risk control procedures
    • Reassess the work practices or procedures change at workplace to determine the mitigated risk level in accordance with guidelines provided by Workplace safety and health act
    • Review and document workplace risk control measures issues resolution in accordance with the guidelines provided by WSH Act.
