Dr. Richard I. Lanyon researched five basic personality
traits in his creation of personality assessment tests. Last week, we
looked at patience (click
here to read last week's article), this week, read all about conformity
and conscientiousness
Conformity: The Systematic, Traditional Trait
Persons who score high in the trait of Conformity like
structure and rules. They are concerned about what is "right", and they
have a strong need to be right. They are systematic, accurate, precise,
and careful, and they are also dedicated, devoted, and sensitive to
criticism. At the extreme, they are meticulous and perfectionistic.
High conformists fear being wrong, they can be worriers who can get
consumed by details.
