TÜV SÜD PSB was originally established in 1971 as the Engineering Services Division of the Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR). Today, it is a one-stop integrated solution provider, offering testing, inspection, product certification and management system certification services, with operations in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines.

Being an established and internationally recognised testing body, our test reports and product certification marks are well-accepted by manufacturers, third-party buyers and government authorities worldwide and our laboratories are accreditated under the Singapore Accreditation Council - Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme to ISO/IEC Guide 25 (ISO/IEC 17025) and ISO Guide 65.

TÜV SÜD PSB is also an internationally recognized certification body, with over 20 years of experience providing management systems assessment and certification services. It was the first certification body in Asia to introduce ISO 9000 as a basis of quality system certification and also the first Asian certification body to offer ISO/TS 16949 automotive certification in the ASEAN region.

Yeo Chin Yong

is a Product Manager with the Electrical & Electronics Testing Services.

He shares more about his job here -

I first joined TÜV SÜD PSB as an engineer and have been working here for the last four and a half years. As a Product Manager, some of my daily tasks include sourcing for new business opportunities, addressing customer enquiries, ensuring that a job is completed on time, and holding discussions with my team members on operational issues.

At university, I studied electrical and electronic engineering, so it’s great to be able to apply what I have learnt in my job scope now.

I really enjoy my job as it is challenging and non-routine and I get the opportunity to travel overseas for site testing as well, interacting and exchanging knowledge with our overseas customers and building good relations with them. It inspires me every time a customer appreciates how we help them get their product certified on time or even earlier than scheduled.

The working environment here at TÜV SÜD PSB is really good as the management is very supportive of new ideas and values the contribution of our staff. Furthermore, we frequently get the opportunity to go for upgrading courses at our sister Company, PSB Academy as well.

Liu Peilin

is a Technical Executive with the Chemicals & Materials Testing Services.

She shares more about her job here -

I joined TÜV SÜD PSB after completing a diploma in chemical engineering seven years ago. As a Technical Executive, I conduct a wide range of laboratory testing to determine the chemical composition, physical performance, and durability of products for local and international clients.

My job is very interesting as it gives me the opportunity to gain exposure to new technologies, new test procedures and new products. There is also a great deal of inter-department collaboration here at TÜV SÜD PSB, so we all work very closely together as a team.

Teo Kim Hock

is an Engineer with the Certification Services.

He shares more about his job here -

I’ve been with TÜV SÜD PSB for four years, and my areas of technical expertise include electrical, electronics and medical products.

My job involves issuing certificates for safety. Through the course of my career, TÜV SÜD PSB has sent me to places like Shanghai, China, and I have even had a training stint at our TÜV SÜD headquarters in Munich, Germany - all of which have been very exciting for me as I love traveling and seeing new countries.

My passion for electronics and quality standards is definitely developed in this job as I get to go for upgrading courses regularly, learn about new safety standards and exchange useful knowledge among my peers. To top it off, TÜV SÜD PSB is a very family-oriented company that takes care of its staff welfare and provides good benefits.

Mak Heng Chwin

is a Sales Engineer with the Mechanical Services.

He shares more about his job here -

I studied materials engineering at NTU and was previously working in the manufacturing sector before joining TÜV SÜD PSB. I’m really enjoying my sales role here and it’s good to interact with our customers to find out how we can help fulfill their quality assurance needs.

Furthermore, the work is very interesting as we get to do quality assurance and testing for clients from diverse industries.

Besides meeting our customers, I also help to co-ordinate all our efforts between the different departments so that we can leverage on our collective strengths and expertise to provide our customers with a one-stop solution. It is very affirming to work at TÜV SÜD PSB as my seniors and the management support and allow us the flexibility to come up with new and innovative ideas to improve productivity and generate more sales.
