Linda, what is your job at ORIX?
I am an Assistant Vice President with the Integrated Automotive Solutions division. I manage a sales team responsible for driving the top line revenue comprising of passenger and commercial vehicle leasing. This includes the short term consumer rental department, ETHOZ Express, and the corporate sales group with short and long term vehicle leasing.
What do you enjoy, and how long have you been working as an Assistant Vice President at ORIX Car Rentals Group?
I started as a corporate sales executive back in YR2000 focusing on long term leasing for companies and individuals. I enjoyed meeting people and chasing sales targets every month. It gave me a sense of satisfaction when I achieved my targets after the battles and challenges I went through to attain them.
I was then promoted to Assistant Manager in YR 2006 managing a small sales team and then subsequently to Assistant Vice President looking after my current portfolio. Managing people can be challenging but I achieve satisfaction when I gain my team's respect by working together to achieve our common targets.
What inspired you to join ORIX Car Rentals Group. What is it like working at ORIX?
Initially I was seeking a sales role in a corporate environment. As I gained experience with ORIX, I really enjoyed the working environment and the corporate culture. I feel that ORIX has provided me with great professional development and opportunities to enhance my experience. It's very satisfying working for a company who share a common goal.
What are your career goals for the future?
We are currently growing at a significant pace both locally and regionally, and I would like to continue my professional development with ORIX and assume greater management accountability and responsibility.
David Chia is a Relationship Manager - Financial Services
David, what is your job scope at ORIX Car Rentals Group?
I'm currently a Relationship Manager and my portfolio includes sourcing for potential clients and vendors for our equipment financing products as well as serving as a primary point of contact between the company, the customer and vendor.
After securing new customers and vendors, my role will include providing personalized support to our customers, nurturing relationships with our vendors and establish ourselves as their preferred choice for financing so as to form a lasting partnership with them and help them grow their business.
What do you enjoy, and how long have you been working as a Relationship Manager at ORIX Car Rentals Group?
I have been with the company for coming to 9 months and the experience thus far has been an excellent one to date, akin to a breath of fresh air. Colleagues play an important part within any organization both from a macro and micro stand point. I enjoy the camaraderie amongst my peers and the warm working environment the office projects to assimilate new additions to the "family tree".
What inspired you to join ORIX Car Rentals Group?
Being a growing company with immense potential, the opportunities available in the organization meets my own current career aspirations both for knowledge, exposure and growth and therefore an employer of choice in my opinion.

The group operates like a big extended family with an approachable matriarch with several pillars of support in the form of the department heads who are the bedrock for stability in the company.
